Our team is trained to provide the momentum to move toward each individual's goals while offering the support, guidance, and encouragement needed as they create meaningful, lasting change in their own lives. Using relevant, evidence-based practices, we strive to inspire positive growth in every person and family we have the privilege of serving.
Education is at the heart of everything we do. We provide ongoing learning opportunities for both the individuals we support and our team members because we believe knowledge creates confidence, independence, and opportunity.
Our Direct Support Services
Able to Dream, Inc. proudly provides Direct Support Services for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) who are enrolled in Florida's Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver Program.
Our Direct Support Professionals work alongside individuals in their homes and communities to promote independence, self-determination, community inclusion, and meaningful participation in everyday life. Services are individualized and person-centered, focusing on building skills that enhance quality of life while respecting each person's unique goals, preferences, and abilities.
Whether supporting daily living skills, community engagement, personal development, or greater independence, our mission remains the same: to empower individuals to live the lives they choose while providing compassionate, dependable, and professional support every step of the way.
Our history
Seeing a need for more truly compassionate, empathetic, knowledgeable, and competent helping professionals throughout Broward County and Palm Beach County, we founded Able to Dream, Inc. to provide a sensible and, most importantly, accessible solution.
Our Directors bring more than 30+ years of combined experience serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Founders and Directors Antwan & Daniel McKenzie-Plez have dedicated their careers to serving South Florida's IDD community with integrity, compassion, and excellence.
Their extensive knowledge of Florida's Medicaid Waiver system, person-centered supports, and best practices enables our agency to provide high-quality services and help individuals and families navigate available resources with confidence. Their longstanding relationships within the disability services community also make it much easier to connect families with additional supports, advocacy, and community resources.
Simply put, our leadership is passionate about helping people succeed. If there's a resource you need, they'll do everything possible to help you find it, and if they don't have the answer, they know someone who does.
