Our Mission
At Able to Dream, Inc., we focus on changing lives. Just that simple! Rather than showing up as the saviors in your life, we believe it is our job to empower every individual and family to achieve success, however they define that, for themselves. WE. TEACH. LIFE. SKILLS. Our team is taught to simply provide the momentum for forward movement in the individual's goals, and to then provide support and encouragement for the individual or family as they make that positive change happen for themselves. Using relevant, and evidence-based practices, we strive to evoke positive change in the lives of every person that interacts with our company.
We are strong believers in education, and education is at the core of just about everything we do. We provide ongoing learning opportunities for both clients and staff, some of which can be found on our website.
Our history
Seeing a need for more truly compassionate, empathetic, knowledgeable, and competent helping professionals in the Broward County and Palm Beach County areas, we formed our organization to provide a sensible and (most of all) ACCESSIBLE solution. Our Directors have extensive experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities and have over 30 years of experience combined, which is pretty amazing when you consider that they are both under 40 years old. Our Founders/ Directors, Antwan & Daniel McKenzie-Plez, have devoted their entire careers thus far to serving this community in South Florida. Between them, our agency benefits from having access to vast knowledge on Medicaid Waiver services and on best practices in supporting the individuals and families who will receive our care. They have also established deep roots and connections within the field, which make linkage to other services and advocacy an advantage to choosing to work with us. Seriously... these guys know everybody... and if they can't get you what you need, they know someone who can.
